This article refers to the former version of the book covers, but, dont let it fool you! The content pages didn’t change.

To the new Makeup Design Stationery Notebook

Makeup Artists
& Enthusiasts,
we got you covered.

The makeup notebook

This book is custom tailored for you as a makeup artist and enthusiast, to try out and design a look in advance.
Or to remember all the tools used for a special design – to preserve looks  when you want to reproduce them again.

Get rid of the self-printed single sheets

We see the book used by professionals and hobbyists alike – it makes a neat addition to a makeup artists’ “toolbox”. A real book you can carry around.

On the left

you ‘ll find a grid to list all the products you are using – structured in categories like look, face, eyes and lips. Every section is divided in sub-categories to get more into detail – for example: in the category face you can put in your moisturizer, foundation, highlight and more.

On the right

you will find a light pre-printed facechart where you can draw onto to try out the look you want to achieve or test out color combinations.

The paper

we use is durable enough to handle cream products yet rough enough to also hold powder. We are sure you will love the look and feel of it, it’s perfect.

Some tips to get you started!

  1. Wash your hands before getting started! You may be disappointed by fingerprints and oil getting onto your design if you have forgotten this tiny, yet important step.
  2. Powders are easier to work with for beginners. And: You can use a pencil eraser to correct most mistakes when using powder! It also can be used as a “highlighter”.
  3. When working with makeup products on paper, you will have to use small circular motions to rub the products “into” the page so they stay better on the paper.
  4. Some like to prime the paper, it may help make blending easier! Use face powder all over the page if you are going to be working with powder products. Or use a thin layer of primer if you are going to work with creams.
  5. Wanna show glossy lips? Try to use clear nail lacquer! (Or colored ones, or glitter … go wild!)
  6. Don’t let your creativity be limited by the “intended use” of a product. You can even use colored pencils (or other drawing tools) with your products (for example to draw nice eyebrows and fill them afterwards with the product – this looks especially nice and “real”). Nothing is forbidden! Try out everything you like!
  7. At last: When you are finished, be sure to fixate your design! You can use a fixative spray – or hairspray, but be careful, it may smell intense AND if you are too close to the paper you may get stains. You have to try this out a bit.
